​TYPES OF EXFOLIANTS

Exfoliants can be mechanical, such as microdermabrasion, skin scrubber, micro-beads, or scrubs, or they can be chemical exfoliants, such as chemical solutions, gels, creams, or enzymes.

SIDE EFFECTS OR DOWNTIME

Downtime varies from no-downtime at all to 5-7-10 days depending on the exfoliation.  Mild exfoliations may cause some dryness, and flaking.  Others may cause flaking and peeling.  All exfoliations make the skin a bit more sensitive to the sun. Skin must be protected with appropriate sun protection at all times.
